Having personally experienced life as a prisoner, I encountered numerous traumatic events that fuelled my passion for reforming the prison system. In my current role, I actively contribute to initiatives aimed at improving conditions for both prisoners and the institution itself. The prevalence of deaths in prison is a critical issue that often goes unaddressed in public discourse. By being part of this team, I strive to amplify the voices of prisoners, ensuring they are heard and valued. I strongly believe that getting a clearer picture of everything that happens when someone has passed will allow us as professionals to be able to learn from events in order to prevent and also spread awareness.
